Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has asserted that the state will emerge victorious in the 2026 Assembly elections, describing the upcoming polls as a “democratic war.”
In a message shared on social media, Stalin said Tamil Nadu is prepared to face the political battle and expressed confidence that the people would safeguard the state’s rights and principles.
He questioned attempts by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, to expand their footprint in the state.
Stalin alleged that divisive politics based on religion have no place in Tamil Nadu and warned that hard-earned social justice measures and reservation policies must be protected.
Referring to developments in other states, he suggested that certain policy decisions elsewhere should serve as a lesson for Tamil Nadu voters.
Describing the 2026 election as more than just a contest for power, the Chief Minister said it is a fight to uphold secularism, social justice and the Dravidian model of governance.
He expressed confidence that the people of Tamil Nadu would once again deliver a decisive mandate in favour of these ideals.
