Take sustained efforts to enhance knowledge and skills, says Air Commodore  - The HinduChennai : More than 50 officers from the Armed Forces, Para Military Forces and Uganda Air Force will be graduating on 3 Jun 2022 as Qualified Flying Instructors from Flying Instructors’ School, Air Force Station, Tambaram. A press release said that Flying Instructors’ School (FIS) trains operational pilots of Armed Forces, Para Military Forces and friendly foreign countries as Flying Instructor to impart Air and Ground Instructors to ab-initio pilots. The Valedictory function is planned on 3 Jun 2022 at Air Force Station Tambaram and will be presided over by Air Marshal Manavendra Singh, Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Training Command, IAF. During the function, Graduates of the Course will be awarded with the coveted symbol of ‘Qualified Flying Instructors’ and those excelling will be presented trophies & awards, signifying their professional competence,” the release added. The Qualified Flying Instructors Course (QFIC) is a challenging 22-weeks curriculum, comprising academics and flying training with exams at regular intervals. The focus  during ground training is to interface theoretical knowledge with practical aspects of aircraft systems and piloting.
