Renowned filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, the creative force behind the recent blockbuster “Jigarthanda Double X,” starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah, has unveiled exciting news. The film has earned a coveted spot and is slated to have its Dutch Premiere at the prestigious IFFR – Rotterdam Film Festival under the Limelight Category.
Expressing his joy and anticipation, Subbaraj shared on social media, “Very Happy and Excited to share that our Jigarthanda Double X is officially selected at and will have its Dutch Premiere at the prestigious IFFR – Rotterdam Film Festival under the Limelight Category.”
This cinematic gem, released in theaters during Diwali on November 12, is the spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit “Jigarthanda,” which starred Siddharth and Bobby Simha in the lead roles. “Jigarthanda Double X” boasts a stellar cast, including Nimisha Sajayan, Sanjana Natarajan, and Naveen Chandra in significant roles.
Adding to the film’s success, it made its debut on the popular OTT platform Netflix on December 8, allowing a wider audience to experience the riveting narrative crafted by Subbaraj.
The technical brilliance behind “Jigarthanda Double X” is led by music composer Santhosh Narayanan, whose score enhances the film’s atmosphere.
