Sasikumar and filmmaker Sathya Siva have officially wrapped up shooting for their upcoming action drama Freedom, slated for a July 10 release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi
The film stars Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose as Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, wrongfully accused and imprisoned. Both leads shared strong chemistry on-screen, backed by pivotal roles from Bose Venkat and Malavika Avinash
Teaser reveals intense police interrogation scenes and a gripping prison escape, echoing real-life events from the early 1990s
Veteran composer Ghibran scored the music, with N.S. Uthaya Kumar on cinematography and Srikanth N.B. handling editing
Co-produced by Sujatha Pandian and Pandian Parasuraman under Vijaya Ganapathy’s Pictures, the production team posted, “It’s a Wrap #FreedomFromJuly10” along with a celebratory set photo
Freedom promises to shed light on the plight of displaced communities and police excess, blending real incidents with emotional storytelling. With filming completed, anticipation is rising for its mid-summer release across multiple languages.
