Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has written to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, informing him that he will not be able to attend the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Travancore Devaswom Board, also known as the “Lok Ayyappa Sangamam,” scheduled to be held on September 20 at Pampa, Kerala.
In his letter, Stalin cited prior commitments as the reason for his absence but assured Kerala’s Chief Minister that Tamil Nadu would be well-represented at the event. He announced that two of his cabinet colleagues would attend the celebrations on behalf of the state:
P.K. Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments
Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services
The Travancore Devaswom Board, which manages the famed Sabarimala temple and several other temples in Kerala, is marking its 75th year with the “Lok Ayyappa Sangamam,” a significant religious and cultural gathering expected to draw participation from across the country.
Stalin conveyed his best wishes for the successful conduct of the event, underscoring Tamil Nadu’s historic spiritual and cultural connection with Kerala’s temple traditions, particularly at Sabarimala.
