The new Tamil film Pookie has officially begun with a grand pooja ceremony today. The film is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner. It stars Ajay Thishan in the lead role and is directed by debut filmmaker Ganesh Chandra, who has previously worked as a cinematographer.Pookie is a romantic comedy aimed at today’s youth. The title “Pookie” is inspired by a playful term used by the younger generation and fits the film’s story.
The story focuses on modern-day relationships and the problems young couples face, told with humor and drama. Ajay Thishan, praised for his performance in Margan, plays the hero, while Dhanusha plays the heroine. The cast also includes Pandiarajan, Sunil, Indhumathi Manikandan, Vivek Prasanna, Black Pandi, Aditya Kathir, Bigg Boss Satya, MJ Sriram, Sundara Travels Radha, Ashwin Ram, Shiyara Sharmi, and Priyanka.
