Chennai, May 11:

The Tamil Nadu Government Officials’ Union has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and his newly inducted Council of Ministers following the formation of the new government.

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, led by Vijay, emerged as the single largest party by winning 108 constituencies in the 17th Legislative Assembly elections and subsequently formed the government with the support of allied parties.

In a statement, the 106-year-old union conveyed its warm felicitations to the Chief Minister and his Cabinet, reiterating its commitment to extend full cooperation to the democratically elected government. It emphasised that it would continue to work constructively with the administration in the interest of governance and public service.

The union also highlighted its legacy as the first general union recognised by the Tamil Nadu government, affirming that it stands ready to support the new leadership in implementing policies and ensuring effective administration across the State.
