As Ayodhya gears up for the historic consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the temple scheduled for Monday, the city is enveloped in a web of security measures aimed at ensuring the safety and smooth progression of the momentous event. With an expected influx of thousands of guests, including VIPs and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, authorities have left no stone unturned in implementing a comprehensive security apparatus.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) commandos have been strategically deployed at key locations, such as Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, employing state-of-the-art technology to bolster security arrangements for the grand ceremony. A staggering 10,000 CCTV cameras now surveil Ayodhya, forming a vigilant electronic network, while the state government remains on high alert against potential cyber threats.
To fortify the environment during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals of Ram Lalla, a robust five-level security arrangement has been put in place. The city is under the watchful eyes of numerous soldiers drawn from both paramilitary and military forces. Along the banks of the Saryu River, snipers have been strategically positioned, providing an additional layer of security for an event of such historical significance, where the Prime Minister himself is scheduled to participate.
Heightened surveillance extends to the waterways, with police officers conducting regular boat patrols on the Sarayu River. Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya is not exempt from stringent security measures, as anti-bomb squad and dog squad teams stand guard, ready to respond to any unforeseen circumstances. Thorough checks of vehicles entering and leaving the airport, coupled with entry permissions granted only to those possessing valid passes, contribute to the overall security posture.
In a proactive move, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has established a camp near the shrine in Ayodhya. This ensures swift and efficient response capabilities in the face of any contingencies that may arise during the grand ceremony.
As Ayodhya embraces this historic moment, the meticulous security arrangements stand as a testament to the authorities’ commitment to safeguarding the sanctity of the consecration ceremony. The convergence of cutting-edge technology, well-trained personnel, and strategic positioning of security forces reinforces the assurance of a safe and memorable event for all those participating in this significant chapter of India’s cultural and religious history.
