Senior PMK leader GK Mani has openly blamed party president Anbumani Ramadoss for the growing internal problems within the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK).
In a strong statement, Mani said Anbumani’s leadership style and decisions were the main reasons for dissatisfaction and confusion inside the party.
He alleged that experienced leaders and grassroots workers were being sidelined, leading to erosion of trust and unity.
According to Mani, the party has moved away from its original principles and collective leadership approach, which once gave PMK its strength.
Mani also claimed that repeated unilateral decisions taken by the party leadership had weakened organisational discipline and demoralised long-time cadres. He said the lack of consultation with senior leaders had resulted in poor political strategies and electoral setbacks, affecting the party’s public image.
Calling for introspection, Mani urged the leadership to correct its course and restore internal democracy within the PMK. He warned that unless corrective steps were taken immediately, the party could face further decline, stressing that unity and inclusive leadership were crucial for PMK’s future in Tamil Nadu politics.
