Chennai, Jan 23: In a recent resident associations meeting, the Greater City Corporation (GCC) embarked on an ambitious journey to revitalize its urban mobility landscape. Dividing the city into 200 traffic analysis zones, the GCC initiated a comprehensive survey, seeking the active participation and cooperation of residents. The objective? To meticulously understand public travel patterns and lay the foundation for a well-connected road network that aligns with the city’s evolving needs.Despite initial delays in the survey process across the 200 wards, the GCC has taken decisive action. A team of 70 dedicated workers is set to expedite the survey in January, ensuring a swift and accurate collection of data. This information will serve as a crucial building block for the subsequent phases of the project.
