The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) has firmly announced its decision to remain a part of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) alliance. This declaration follows an invitation from opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami, who had urged the VCK and Communist parties to join the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) alliance, hinting at a potential reduction in their seat allocation within the DMK coalition.VCK Deputy General Secretary Vanni Arasu explicitly rejected Palaniswami’s invitation. He asserted that the VCK holds a strong position within the DMK alliance and is committed to continuing its partnership. Arasu also recalled past instances during the AIADMK’s rule when the VCK was allegedly denied permission to hoist its party flag.
