Chennai, Mar 31:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Monday described his party’s alliance as one of the most enduring in Indian politics, calling it “unprecedented at the national level” while addressing a tea reception attended by leaders and allies.
Speaking at the gathering, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president underlined that the coalition has stood the test of time, maintaining unity over several years despite the shifting nature of political alignments across the country.
He noted that such consistency is rare, especially in a landscape where alliances are often reshaped by electoral compulsions.
Stalin attributed the durability of the alliance to shared principles, mutual respect, and a commitment to common goals. He stressed that ideological clarity and coordination among partners have helped the coalition remain stable and effective, both in governance and during elections.
Highlighting the broader significance, he said the alliance serves as a model of cooperation in national politics, demonstrating that long-term partnerships can succeed without internal discord. The Chief Minister also conveyed confidence that the coalition would continue to perform strongly in future electoral battles.
