Chennai, Mar 31:
PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss launched a sharp attack on the DMK’s election manifesto, describing it as neither a “hero” nor credible, but instead a “comedian and villain” in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Assembly election campaign.
In a strongly worded statement, Anbumani alleged that the manifesto released by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam lacked any meaningful roadmap for the state’s development. He claimed that the promises made were misleading and designed to attract voters without offering practical solutions for long-term growth.
He further argued that the ruling party had failed to fulfill the majority of its earlier election promises. Citing past data, Anbumani stated that out of hundreds of assurances made in the previous election, only a small portion had been implemented, accusing the DMK of betraying public trust.
Criticising the new manifesto, he said several promises were repetitions of earlier commitments with different names, alleging that the party was attempting to repackage old schemes as new initiatives. He termed this approach a sign of “political failure” and lack of accountability.
