Actress Keerthy Suresh will play Latha Reddy in director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming family entertainer January 12 Vidudala, the filmmaker announced on the occasion of her birthday. The film features Venkatesh and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the lead roles and brings together a prominent cast from Telugu cinema.
Ravipudi wished Keerthy on social media and praised her warmth, charm and screen presence. The announcement offered audiences their first official confirmation of her character in the film. Keerthy also expressed her happiness at working with choreographer Brinda, noting that it had been nearly eight years since she last performed under her choreography.
The film was previously referred to by the working titles VenkyAnil5 and NKRAR2 before the makers announced January 12 Vidudala as its official title. Venkatesh plays Lieutenant Colonel Venkat Reddy, an Indian Army officer specialising in counter-terrorism and hostage negotiation. His first-look poster showed him in military camouflage beside a rugged SUV, presenting a serious and commanding image.
Keerthy is paired opposite Venkatesh, while Krithi Shetty plays the female lead opposite Kalyan Ram. The combination of Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram is expected to be a major attraction, with the film promising family entertainment, action and comedy in Ravipudi’s characteristic style.
The film is produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner and presented by Suresh Productions and Zee Studios. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music, with Sameer Reddy handling cinematography and Tammiraju overseeing editing. The makers have been releasing character details and promotional material as production progresses, building anticipation around the project.
