Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently spoke at the centenary celebrations for Fidel Castro, held at Raja Annamalai Mandram in Chennai. During his speech, Stalin praised the relationship he shares with communists, stating that “communists are half of me.”
He explained that his connection to the communist community goes beyond political alliances, and is instead rooted in shared principles. Stalin, whose own name is a nod to the Soviet leader, shared that he accepts criticism from communists and appreciates that they do not hesitate to point out the government’s mistakes.
The Chief Minister’s speech also included a tribute to Fidel Castro, who he lauded for his leadership of Cuba despite an economic blockade by the United States. Furthermore, Stalin urged the Central government to oppose the 50% tax imposed by the US on India. He also criticized President Donald Trump and questioned why the Indian Prime Minister had not responded to Trump’s claim that he had stopped the India-Pakistan war.
