The team of Karuppu, starring Suriya, held a grand audio launch in Madurai ahead of its May 14 release, with the actor expressing strong confidence in the film. Director RJ Balaji and composer Sai Abhyankkar were also present, while leading lady Trisha was absent from the event.
Addressing fans, Suriya said the film will offer a mix of emotions and high-energy moments. “The first half will be emotional, while the second half will have strong theatrical elements,” he noted, thanking fans for their continued support over the years.
He described Karuppu as a “spoof” film that aims to both entertain and provoke thought. “It will make people laugh and think. I hope RJ Balaji has delivered that, and I believe audiences will enjoy what we have created,” Suriya said.
The actor also shared his deep connection with Madurai, praising its culture and people. He highlighted the city’s unique blend of food, politics, and reverence for female deities, adding that the love he has received from the region over nearly three decades has played a key role in his journey as an actor.
