Chennai : The CEO of Adani Foundation, in the presence of colleagues, panchayat officials and villagers inaugurated the Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant at K R Palayam.
According to a press release, this RO plant will provide clean drinking water for K R Palayam, Neithavoyal Panchayat, Minjur Block and Thirvallur district.
“The RO plant was inaugurated by Ravi, Chairman, Minjur Panchayat Union. In the presence of Anil Balakrishnan, CSR Head South India, Adani Foundation, Jesuraj R, program manager, Adani Foundation Kattupalli, Balan, president Neiythavoyal panchayat, Raja, panchayat councillor, Ward members and Villagers,” the release said.
The release further said that post inauguration, the RO plant will be handed over to the Panchayat for maintenance. Rs. 5 will be charged by them for every 20 litres of water. The amount that is being collected will be used by the panchayat towards maintenance of the RO Plant.
Representatives from Adani Foundation said, Safe and clean drinking water reduces the possibilities of diseases sharply and I am confident that the newly installed RO water purifier will be very beneficial to residents of the villages around the port. Access to clean drinking water is a must and the installation of the RO plan is an effort towards it.
